"Folk Music For The Folks!"

 

     Tyler Dowers was born and raised in Laguna Beach, California.  He began playing guitar at age eleven, but became serious in pursuing his passion, music, at the age of twenty.

     Through the past ten years Tyler has been exploring all genres of music anywhere, from blues to jazz, but ended up where he felt most passionate - singing and songwriting in the folk genre.  "I want to play music with feeling that relates to my heritage and ancestors, where I can belt notes out in a pure folk form."

     With parents from Cincinnati, Ohio and Walla Walla, Washington there is born a natural folk singer and songwriter. "My music, sometimes in its most purest form, writes itself."  This love of music and of playing guitar has carried him for over half of his life and gives him inspiration to speak and tell stories about love and life on the road.  

     His wide repertoire takes us from all the most famous folk artists to songs of his own, where he depicts anywhere from love, cowboys, faith, and rambling trains. This unique talent is hard to pass up. His voice carries far as he throws it in the most truest form of original folk fashion. His Lyrics have beautiful poetry imgary throughout. "I enjoy natural sounding music and instruments where there is a thick sound. My voice, harmonica, and guitar takes me to a place I want to go."

     Shooting Star is his debut album, which consists of nine all original tracks written and produced by Tyler.  "This album is a dream come true.  I am grateful.  I hope my songs reach all that is meant for the music to reach."
